Golf greats Ben Hogan and Sam Snead shake hands prior to teeing off for an 18-hole playoff round at the 1950 Los Angeles Open. During the final round of the tournament, Snead's birdie on the 18th hole forced the playoff with Hogan. Snead won the playoff round, giving him his second victory at the L.A. Open, held at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, CA.
