Gordie Howe - aka "Mr. Hockey" - led the Detroit Red Wings to four Stanley Cups, in addition to first place in regular season play for seven consecutive seasons (1948/49 - 1955/56) - a feat that has not been equaled in NHL history.
During his illustrious career, Wayne "The Great One" Gretzky won four Stanley Cups, nine MVP awards, 10 scoring titles, and set 40 regular season records, 15 playoff records and 6 All-Star Game records. He is the only player in NHL history to top 200 points in a single season, a feat he accomplished four times.
