Steve Chiasson was a defensemen for the Detroit Red Wings from 1985 to 1994. He was assistant captain for the Red Wings in the '93-'94 season. In 1994, after getting eliminated from the playoffs while playing for the Hurricanes, Chiasson was killed in a tragic car accident.
