This photo of Detroit Red Wing Darren McCarty was taken during the infamous "Fight Night at the Joe" on March 26, 1997. During the massive brawl that broke out between the Colorado Avalanche and the Red Wings, McCarty brutally defended himself against Avalanche right winger Claude Lemieux with a blistering punch, and continued punching Lemieux while Lemieux turtled to avoid damage. They later re-fought with no clear winner coming out of the altercation. This photo has been autographed by Darren McCarty. The photo measures 16" x 20" and comes unframed.
