Local favorite, Charlie Batch, was a rockstar when he played for Eastern Michigan. He took nearly every passing record while earning his degree in criminal justice. After graduating, Batch was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the seccond round of the 1998 draft. With the Lions, Batch started for most of the games during the 1998-2001 seasons. After the '01 season, Batch was released and signed on with the PIttsburgh Steelers. He did not play in the 2002 season, but saw more action throughout the rest of his career. He stayed on with the Steelers through 2012.
