Connors held the ATP number one ranking for a then-record 160 consecutive weeks from 1974-1977. Connors still holds the record for most matches played (1,535) and most match wins (1,256). He won 8 majors (5 U.S. Opens, 2 Wimbledon titles, and 1 Australian Open title).
