Mike Modano is a former Detroit Red Wing that played his final season with the team in 2010. Prior to playing for the Red Wings, Modano played with the Stars from 1988 through 2010, both when they were the Minnesota North Stars and then the Dallas Stars. He was drafted 1st overall in the 1988 NHL Draft. In 2014, Dallas retired Modano's jersey, #9, the same year that he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Modano also earned multiple All-Star honors throughout his time in the NHL and was part of the 1999 Stanley Cup Winning Stars team.
