Jim Ryun is a former American Olympic athlete and politician. He was the first high school athlete to run a mile in under 4 minutes and also the last American to hold the world record for the mile run! He won a silver medal in the 1968 Summer Olympics for the 1500 m run. He made it to the Olympic finals two other times, but did not make the podim either time. At some point, Ryun became a Born Again Christian and that is where this pamphlet came into play. The pamphlet is all about how Ryun's "god WAS running" until he found Jesus. He signed the front of the packet and now it makes for a pretty unique piece of sports memorabilia! Or religious memorabilia....
