Schayes was an American professional basketball player and coach in the NBA. He was a top scorer and rebounder and a 12-time NBA All-Star. He won an NBA championship with the Nats in 1955 and was named one of the greatest 50 players in NBA history. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006. His number (4) was retired by the Philadelphia 76ers.
