Mark "The Pool Shark" Spitz was one of the greatest Olympic athletes. He is a nine-time Olympic champion and the most successful athlete of the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. He won 7 Gold medals, all of which with world record times, creating a new record that went unbeaten until Michael Phelps came along more than 35 years later.
