This original lithograph by Russian astronaut Alexei Leonov depicts of one of his greatest achievements: being the first man to walk in space. On March 18, 1965, Alexei Leonov made the world's first spacewalk from the Soviet spacecraft Voskhod 2. After retiring from his career as an astronaut, Leonov took up painting and became a renowned artist, well-known for his wonderful cosmic scenes.
"First Walk" is a limited edition, signed and numbered lithograph with remark and Leonov's hand-written quote - "I was going nowhere, to eternity." - in Russian. This print is number 207 of 500. The lithograph comes matted and framed; the glass in the frame is a special UV protective glass to help preserve the integrity of the art.
